As a soon to be former employee (As of this date I still work here) of this establishment it is in my best interest to inform everyone the horrors of working in this store. THIS LOCATION SPECIFICALLY is overrun with nepotism and favoritism, which makes sense as the community of Elgin is small. However, this becomes a problem when the potential of other employees is overshadowed by the daughter of a manager. Speaking of managers, don't EVER feel like you are entitled to your own emotions, because if you say ONE thing wrong, you're either fired, given fewer hours, or written up and sent home. I've experienced multiple situations in which I was verbally abused by my managers while ON AND OFF THE CLOCK, and this is not acceptable. Don't get me started on the customers here either. Those of you who come here frequently and know us by name, and are kind, thank you. To everyone who has ever been rude to one of the employees? Be ashamed of yourself. The employees here are HUMAN BEINGS, and are sensitive to how others around them act and behave. Snapping at a cashier or floor-hand because you're in a pissy mood will NOT guarantee good service. Just thought you should know that. Stay safe kids.
