Thought I would share my experience from a couple of years ago after being a customer for years and spending thousands of dollars. I had a 2004 Mercedes 500SL. I was in Arkansas and had a warning message to take the car to the shop. Because I was out of town I took it to the Mercedes dealer there. The issue was the SRS computer went out. While they had it I asked them to check out why the shifting was delayed during warm up. I had it into the VAP shop for a full transmission service and the issues only got worse so I brought it back and they replaced the mass air flow sensor $$$ and the problem was still there but didn't seem as bad, at that point I figured I would just live with it. Once the dealer checked it out they discovered it was 3 quarts low on transmission fluid with no leaks anywhere and they did a full service on the transmission and now it drives perfectly even during warm up. The dealer suggested I contact the shop where it was serviced and request a refund. Needless to say I feel that I wasted my money on the mass airflow sensor and for sure the transmission service at VAP's shop. Very disappointed. Lucky I don't drive the car much and they said they didn't see any visible damage from the incorrect/poor service I received at this shop. When I find a mechanic I place a lot of trust in them and in the case of this shop I feel that trust was misplaced. From now on it will go to the Bentonville, AR MB dealer for service, and they even offer free concierge service to Tulsa, they will pick up my car and drop off a loaner! Had I knows this I never would have used VAP.
