I attended this church from 1943 until I left town in 1965. It was a wood Tabernacle with the brick class room building which still stands. The Tabernacle was moved in front of the class rooms and remained on timbers while the blond brick large church was built in the late 40's. Dad was an Elder, Treasurer, Scout-Master, and Teacher here. Mom was in charge of the Kitchen for years. Troop 3 BSA, and Post 3, Explorer Scouts were sponsered by this Church. It sits 1/2 block off the old Phillips Christian University Campus and had many of the College Deans and students in attendance for all services. We were Married here in 1965.
