My first encounter with them was very sketch... My bf and I are limited where we live and despite the crappy reviews we thought we would see what they had to offer, well... they said we would need us to share our SS#, name, and phone number to remove a block on our address.... We have never had Suddenlink before and they confirmed that with the last name, but said there were multiple outstanding balances and we would need to send our info in as a collections request to remove the block.... I told them I would gladly provide a name and phone number and if they would like to check on the internet about the previous home owner being deceased (cause thats public record) they could but I would not risk getting pinned with the balance and them turning us into collections with the SS#. They insisted I need to provide them with that info and call the billing department so I stated we would go with a different provider.
