Sacred Heart Catholic Church

At the center of Roman Catholic history in Oklahoma the grounds include Sacred Heart Cemetery, the Church and the remains of the abbey. Beautiful in Spring, Summer and Fall. It is a quiet, peaceful place. If your family is from the area you will find the burial places of your ancestors in a neatly kept, but not fussy, cemetery. The church building is active and in excellent repair. Access to the abbey grounds may be limited to foot traffic by a barrier across the drive. It is worth a look around and there is a pond near the abbey grounds entrance.

Beautiful Church with a great history. Met Fr. Adrian who walked me into the church and told me all about the history of the church. He then invited me to walk around the old church site and visit the Cemetaries in the back. It was an amazing adventure. I highly recommend a visit.
