Pho Thai Nguyen

We love this place, and try to pop in whenever we're in Little Saigon. Vast selection. Fast service. Pho Thai Nguyen wins high honors in my book. The pho there is among the best in town, and this place is always packed to the rafters with Vietnamese-Americans. (That's always a good sign, IMHO.) Very clean interior. Friendly staff. (Don't go expecting the Queen's English, though.) :) The decorating's hilariously bad, true, but no one with half a brain goes there to look at all the fake flowers strewn around, nor the tacky art on the walls. LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT INDOCHINESE TREAT? Try the Bánh mì p la (Vietnamese-style baguette sandwich filled with fried, sunny side up-style eggs, oyster sauce, Chinese sausage, fresh cilantro, and sliced jalapeños).
