So, I purchased a Harbor Home in Talavera in 2015, and the house was built in 2007. I would caution using this builder. While ten years have passed since my home was built, there have been several major renovation projects that I have had to accomplish to fix poor workmanship issues from when the house was originally built. The tile floor in most of the house was laid after the base boards where installed which lead to the tile installers grouting the gap between the tile and trim. Over time this became brittle, cracked, and ugly. So, all new flooring and trim had to be installed. Additionally, the plumber who installed the master bath faucet left off a rubber O-ring that allowed the faucet to leak unnoticed back into the wall which lead to mold growing in the wall. Needless to say, simple tasks that a builder should have had better oversight and awareness of while building someone's house. This review is not meant to convince people not to use Harbor Homes, but it is meant to help people know that they need to get a home inspection before buying a Harbor Home. Again, over ten years have passed since my home was built, and I am not the original owner. So, it's possible these quality issues where a one time occurrence for Harbor Homes. I'm just providing a word of caution to be thorough in inspecting your new home.
