Amish Cheese House

This is for sure a place that makes Chouteau memorable. It is a huge red building at the main intersection in town. It is split into two businesses. The south end is a bakery that makes all kids of fresh things daily and even pre-made dough that can be taken home and baked. The north end is a huge shop and restaurant that serves wraps, soup, sandwiches and a handful of other things. They have some of the best made-with-cream ice cream that I have ever had! Tasty place. Not cheap, but not overpriced. Chouteau has a large Amish community and it is my understanding that that community has a large influence to this business.
